BTMK solicitors are looking for an experienced family secretary to work within their busy private family department, for an immediate start. Experience is essential as is knowledge of word and excel. Ideally this is a full time position and working hours will be 9 – 5.15 Monday to Friday, however we would consider part-time (hours to the equivalent of three full days). Salary and other benefits will be discussed during the interview process. Please find below a role description, the general duties will be discussed during the interview stage.
The post primarily involves, with the support and assistance where necessary and availability of other staff,

  • Full secretarial support to 2 fee-earning staff
  • Duties to include; audio typing from a digital dictation both documents and correspondence
  • Diary maintenance
  • Manage, organise, and update relevant data using database applications
  • Submission of documents to court and use of the court portal.
  • Answering the telephone
  • General administrative tasks including filing and photocopying.
  • To attend such training as may be approved by the firm as will be necessary to fulfil the requirements of the position
