Paralegal Assistant Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury

BTMK Solicitors are looking to recruit a Paralegal/Assistant in our Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Department, for an immediate start, this role is a short term maternity cover position. Experience is not necessary but the successful candidate will have an enthusiastic attitude and be able to take clear instructions and work well in a team.

The role will be based in our Southend on Sea office. This is a full time position and working hours will be 9 – 5.15 Monday to Friday. Salary and other benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

The successful candidate will be fully supported in the area’s set out below.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist the Director and Senior Solicitor with their busy Personal injury and Clinical Negligence claims with tasks to include;

• Speaking and liaising with clients and third parties;
• Drafting correspondence and documents and assisting with litigation generally;
• Compiling litigation and medical records bundles;
• Arranging appointments;
• Sourcing experts and assisting with their instruction;
• Organising case files;
• To adopt a business-like, polite and sensible approach in your telephone and written dealings with clients, other Solicitors and third parties;
• To adhere to the client care standards set out in the Company’s terms of business and/or the office manual.
