WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO GO DOWN THE ROUTE OF AN APPRENTICESHIP?

Having just graduated from the University of Warwick with a law degree, I was excited about embarking on my journey to becoming a qualified solicitor. The idea of working and studying for the SQE at the same time was very appealing to me as it would speed up the route to qualification whilst also providing me with the necessary practical and theoretical learning experiences.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO START THIS JOURNEY WITH BTMK SOLICITORS?

Having carried out a week of work experience at BTMK last summer, I was able to experience the supportive environment here and realised I would love to start my career here and it is an environment I would thrive in. The practice areas I was interested in also aligned with the services BTMK offers to its clients, so it naturally seemed like a perfect match.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR THOSE CONSIDERING AN APPRENTICESHIP ROLE WITHIN THE LEGAL INDUSTRY?

Ensuring you feel comfortable and supported at a firm is crucial to ensuring your success, I would suggest reaching out to see if work experience is an option before committing to a firm, to ensure it is the right place for you. I would also recommend getting as much experience in law firms as possible before committing to an apprenticeship in the legal industry to confirm this is the right industry for you and something you are truly passionate about.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE AT BTMK?

I am most excited about applying my theoretical learning from university into practice here at BTMK and being able to experience new and exciting challenges. I am also excited to take on new responsibilities and have more interaction with clients.
