WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO GO DOWN THE ROUTE OF AN APPRENTICESHIP?
I always knew gaining experience through work would be more beneficial to me than studying at university. Apprenticeships provide the opportunity to gain real-life experience working in the industry. Alongside this, the one university day a week supports my learning as it provides the theory required to further my training.
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO START THIS JOURNEY WITH BTMK SOLICITORS?
I’ve always wanted to join the legal industry, and I knew BTMK would be the perfect place to start. They offer so many different areas of law as well as the very best training and support. Through their apprenticeship scheme, I will be able to receive first hand experience of working in the legal industry at such a well-established firm.
DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR THOSE CONSIDERING AN APPRENTICESHIP ROLE WITHIN THE LEGAL INDUSTRY?
I would say it would be beneficial to of studied a law related subject prior to an apprenticeship in the legal industry. Furthermore, work experience in the legal industry helped to build on my knowledge regarding what to expect working in a firm and what was expected from me. However, the majority of the learning comes from on the job training you will receive during your apprenticeship.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE AT BTMK?
I am most excited to learn and take on new challenges. I’m eager to grow within the firm and eventually take on responsibilities. I am also excited to work with my team as they provide amazing support when I have any queries or am struggling with my work.
