The apprenticeship route is increasingly becoming a popular alternative to the traditional university path. Personally, university was never an option for me. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of earning and learning. By choosing the apprenticeship route, I can balance studying and applying my knowledge in a real-world office setting, an experience that a university classroom cannot offer.
WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO START THIS JOURNEY WITH BTMK SOLICITORS?
I chose to start my journey with BTMK for an apprenticeship because it offers an excellent opportunity to advance my career in the legal profession. By joining BTMK, I can develop my skills and gain invaluable experience in various areas of law. This will enable me to take the next steps and move forward in my professional journey. DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR THOSE CONSIDERING AN APPRENTICESHIP ROLE WITHIN THE LEGAL INDUSTRY?
I would advise gaining some experience in the legal industry before applying for an apprenticeship. I worked as a legal secretary for a year prior to my apprenticeship, which gave me a head start in contacting clients and managing the workload. This experience allowed me to understand what to expect while working in the legal industry and how to stay organised.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE AT BTMK?
I am excited to explore new areas of law that I have yet to discover and experience. I look forward to gaining responsibilities, applying my new knowledge, and shadowing expert solicitors to learn from the best.
