Mark is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is joint Head of the Private Client department at BTMK Goodson, the Private Client arm of the of BTMK group, a general practice law firm serving clients both locally and nationally.
He is extremely experienced in non-contentious Probate, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and other legal services relating to elderly client law. He has specialised in this field since the early 1990’s and was a partner in the local firm of FWG before their take over by BTMK in May 2015.
Outside of work, Mark is married to Dawn, has 3 children, 3 stepchildren and a dog. He loves cooking, eating out, going to the cinema or theatre and is a Southend United fanatic, having supported the club since August 1969. In his younger days he was a keen sportsman, playing football and cricket to a reasonable standard, is a published author having written the Fools Guide to Investment Clubs for the financial website The Motley Fool and is a musician in a long established function band, “The Alvin Jones Band” (although the gigging opportunities these days are few and far between). Currently, he is most likely to be found somewhere on a golf course trying to get his handicap down and is so social he will attend the opening of an envelope.
